Letter From The President, July 2020

Hello Exchange Ladies & Gents!

It has been too long since we have been able to share our fellowship. But I have great news—WE are going to start Meeting Again!

On July 23rd, we will have our first breakfast meeting of the new Exchange year. Things will be a little different. Mask will be required until you sit down at the table to sip coffee, O.J., and eat. We will be served a plated meal. Because of this new setting, we will need a headcount. I am requesting an RSVP. When you finish the letter, just send me a Yes or No.

We have a great year planned with many activities and fun times for all members as we continue to make our presence known in Quail Valley. Please look at the enclosed calendar.

Our September activity is The Ryder Cup. You will hear more about that in the future from our new board member Joanne Theil. We plan to have a blowout social on Friday night to announce the pairings and celebrate our Exchange club. George has his first Country Western Dance meeting next Wednesday at 6 p.m.

On July 23-24th, the National Exchange Club will have a Zoom convention. You can go on their website or ask Steve Wells about how to participate.

Last night we made an $8,000.00 sponsorship/donation to CASA for their upcoming Summer Soiree and distributed the toys and art supplies we had collected. At our meeting, we will go over our board approved budget and update you on where our funds will be spent. We would like to hear any suggestions if you have a charity dear to you that we do not currently support. It is possible before year-end that we could give support to suggested organizations.

Thank you again to all who participated with our 4th of July flag dispersion. We have had many ‘thank yous’ from our neighbors.

I am looking forward to this year. We are making plans to have a fantastic One Nation Under God breakfast to celebrate our Veterans.  The very things we hold dear are under attack. It is my wish to honor our police and military, country, and flag and live the Mission of Exchange: “Inspiring Communities to become better places to live.”

Thank you for your support in everything we do as Exchange members.
